New West Energy Services Inc. Appoints New Director

New West Energy Services Inc. (TSX VENTURE:NWE) (the "Corporation") is pleased
to announce the appointment on October 31, 2012 of Dr. Ralph T. Strother to the
Board and a member of the Audit Committee of the Corporation. Dr. Strother is a
businessman, philanthropist and physician and is currently the Senior Program
Officer of the Max Bell Foundation. He was a Professor of Family Medicine at the
University of Calgary from 1984 to 1996 and has been active in the community
since 1984 starting with the Olympics and National Sport governing body
positions. In the 1990s he became involved with several non-profits and
foundations including Chairman of the Calgary Foundation and Chairman of the
National Board of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Dr. Strother has
experience with all operational and governance aspects of foundations, including
acting as a Senior Officer for two private foundations. Dr. Strother has served
on the Boards of private and public companies, including being co-founder and
CEO of FITforeGOLF Inc. and President and CEO of Stratimed Limited. Dr. Strother
is replacing Mr. Ro H.W. Riley who resigned from the Board and as a member of
the Audit Committee effective the 31st day of October, 2012. The Board would
like to thank Mr. Riley for his assistance and years of dedication to the
Corporation.
