New Nadina Explorations Limited: Work Program Commences at Monument

02/04/2009 8:26pm

Marketwired Canada

New Nadina Explorations Limited (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:NNA) is pleased to
announce their six week spring work program has commenced at the Monument
Diamond Project located 300 km north northeast of Yellowknife. The program will
consist of ground magnetometer surveying and both diamond and RC drilling. New
Nadina is operator of the project and is working closely in association with JV
partners Dr. Chris Jennings and Dr. Stu Blusson.

Ground magnetometer surveying of approximately 750 line kilometers has been
contracted to Aurora Geosciences Ltd. of Yellowknife NT. The current geophysical
program will provide more precise delineation of the location of known
kimberlites on the ground and will assist in identifying new targets. As the
interpreted results are received, targets will be identified and prioritized for
drilling. Over the years, a variety of geophysical programs have been conducted,
each contributing additional information to the project. Last year synthesis of
this data led to four kimberlite discoveries, increasing the current number of
known diamondiferous kimberlites on the project to twelve.

"We are all excited about this spring season," stated Ellen Clements, President
and CEO of New Nadina. "Kimberlitic material lends to easy erosion and the
formation of lakes. This is the time of year to get onto those targets and have
a look."

Additionally the Joint Venture (JV) has purchased a second drill, a Hornet
Reverse Circulation (RC) rig. The RC drill, being air driven, does not require
water allowing the testing of previously inaccessible targets. The unit will
allow drilling in areas too far from water during the winter, and areas
inaccessible during the summer due to boggy terrain.

A 35 km spur ice road was constructed into the Monument Camp from the winter ice
road that is built annually to access the two nearby operating diamond mines.
Close proximity to the winter road reduces costs for both the spring and summer
2009 programs by allowing the trucking of fuel, supplies and equipment into the
Camp. An airstrip has also been cleared to accommodate ongoing weekly scheduled
wheeled twin otter aircraft.

New Nadina Explorations Limited is operator of the Monument Diamond Project, a
joint venture between New Nadina (57.49%), Dr. Chris & Jeanne Jennings (22.11%),
and Stu Blusson's Archon Minerals Ltd. (20.4%). The Monument project,
strategically located in close proximity and with easy access to both the
Ekati(TM) and Diavik(TM) Diamond Mines, has to date, three identified
diamondiferous zones known as the northern, central (Blue Pearl String) and
southern clusters. All kimberlites from each of the three clusters, have diamond
distribution curves that predict large stone recovery with adequate sampling.
