Next Millennium Closes $6 Million Non-Brokered Private Placement

TORONTO, ONTARIO (TSX VENTURE: NM) announced today that it has closed a non-brokered private placement of 12,000,000 units (the "Units") at a price of $0.50 per Unit (the "Offering"). Each Unit is comprised of one common share and one warrant. Each warrant is exercisable into one additional common share at $1.00 for a one year period. The Units, issued pursuant to the private placement, are subject to hold period expiring on October 5, 2008.

Proceeds from the private placement will be used to fund Next Millennium's previously announced acquisition of Roadrunner Oil & Gas, Inc. ("ROG"), to acquire additional exploration leases and to complete exploration of prospects to be identified on ROG leased lands.
