Next Millennium Closes $6 Million Non-Brokered Private Placement

Next Millennium Commercial Corp. ("Next Millennium") (TSX VENTURE:NM) announced
today that it has closed a non-brokered private placement of 12,000,000 units
(the "Units") at a price of $0.50 per Unit (the "Offering"). Each Unit is
comprised of one common share and one warrant. Each warrant is exercisable into
one additional common share at $1.00 for a one year period. The Units, issued
pursuant to the private placement, are subject to hold period expiring on
October 5, 2008.


Proceeds from the private placement will be used to fund Next Millennium's
previously announced acquisition of Roadrunner Oil & Gas, Inc. ("ROG"), to
acquire additional exploration leases and to complete exploration of prospects
to be identified on ROG leased lands.


Next Millennium is an oil and gas exploration and development company. Next
Millennium's shares are listed on Tier 2 of the TSX Venture Exchange under the
symbol "NM".
