Nighthawk Announces Completion of Share Consolidation

Nighthawk Gold Corp. ("Nighthawk" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:NHK) announced
today that the Company has consolidated its common shares ("Common Shares") on
the basis of five (5) existing Common Shares for one (1) new Common Share. The
Company's Common Shares are expected to commence trading on a consolidated basis
on the TSX Venture Exchange under the same symbol at the opening on or about May
13, 2014. Shareholders of the Company approved the consolidation at a special
meeting on May 8, 2014.


Pursuant to the consolidation, registered Common Share shareholders can obtain
new share certificates for the Common Shares by returning their current share
certificates to Equity Financial Trust Company in accordance with the
instructions set out in the Company's management information circular dated
April 7, 2014.
