Nanika Resources Inc.-New Name for New Cantech Ventures Inc.

New Cantech Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE:NCV)(FRANKFURT:C7X) (the "Company")
announces that effective as at 12:01 am on June 20, 2008 the name of the Company
will change to "Nanika Resources Inc." and that for trading purposes the stock
will trade under a new TSX Venture Exchange symbol "NKA" with a new CUSIP number
630018109. A share certificate exchange is not required and there was no
consolidation of share capital issued. The name change was previously approved
by the Annual and Special General Meeting of Shareholders that was held on May
16, 2008 and the Company has now obtained the required regulatory approval from
the TSX Venture Exchange. The new website for the Company will be
www.nanikaresources.com.


The name change to Nanika Resources Inc. will better reflect the business of the
Company as the Company is positioned to advance in the future. Company President
James Jacuta stated, "The rapid and successful progression of changes in the
last year reflects our focus on the Lucky Ship Molybdenum Property, which is
located in the area of British Columbia that the aboriginal community named
Nanika. This name change better reflects the Company as we continue on track
with its transition from a pure mineral exploration company to a developer, and
it is my hope to continue onward with future plans to take the Lucky Ship
Molybdenum Property into production."
