Mayen Minerals Announces Resignation and Appointment of Directors and Grants Incentive Stock Options

   MAYEN MINERALS LTD. (TSX VENTURE: MYM) (the "Company" or "Mayen") is pleased to announce the appointment of Joao Manuel to the board of directors effective June 30, 2010. In addition, the Company announces that effective June 30, 2010, Mr. Bruce McDonald has resigned as the Non-Executive Chairman and a director of the Company. Mr. McDonald will continue to maintain a close relationship with the Company as a major shareholder and as an advisor to the Board from time to time, as required.

The Company also announces that it has granted options to certain directors and consultants of the Company entitling them to purchase an aggregate of 175,000 common shares of the Company. The options were granted pursuant to a stock option plan approved by the shareholders of the Company. 150,000 stock options entitle the holder thereof to purchase one common share of the Company at a price of $0.80 per common share for a period of five years and 25,000 stock options entitle the holders thereof to purchase one common share of the Company at a price of $0.80 per common share for a period of three years.
