Southern Copper Corp. Drilling on Marifil's Cerro Samenta Porphyry Copper Property

MARIFIL MINES LTD. (TSX VENTURE:MFM) ("Marifil" or "the Company") announces that
Southern Copper Corp. has begun an exploration drilling program on the Company's
Cerro Samenta porphyry copper project in Salta Province, Argentina.


Marifil is planning a site visit next week, and expects to release more
information on this drilling project as quickly as possible.
