Further to its press release of August 28, 2009, Katanga Mining Limited
(TSX:KAT) ("Katanga" or the "Company") today announced that it has completed the
acquisition of Kamoto Operating Limited ("KOL"). Katanga acquired the entire
issued share capital of KOL from Wayland Management SA and Tain Holdings Limited
by issuing an aggregate of 12,000,000 common shares and by making a cash payment
in the aggregate amount of USD 1,600,000.
