Yankee Hat Minerals Sets Plan for 2011 Summer Work on Bullion Alley

Yankee Hat Minerals Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:KHT) ("Yankee Hat" or the "Company")
announces that is has finished evaluating its successful winter drill program at
the Fran Property. All eight of the drill holes contained gold and expanded the
known gold zones of the Bullion Alley sector to over 700 meters laterally. A
strike length of 2 kilometers was evaluated to a vertical depth of 300 meters. 


The 2011 summer field season will further test surface outcrops on the Bullion
Alley gold zone and, for the first time, the Company will begin exploration on
the vast eastern part of the Fran Property. Previous prospecting and stream
sediment sampling on the eastern part of the property has identified copper and
gold mineralization associated with intrusions. This part of the property is
consistent with the geology of the region, known to host significant Cu-Au
porphyry-type deposits such as Mt. Milligan located only 30km to the east. 


"The addition of an exploration program to a known area of significant gold
mineralization is an exciting step forward for Yankee Hat," said David Matousek,

Quebec as defined by NI-43-101 and has reviewed the technical information that

About the Fran Property

The Fran property is located in central British Columbia approximately 60
kilometres north of the city of Fort St. James. The region is well known for its
abundance of large scale deposits and mines, most notably the Mount Milligan
deposit which is located 30 kilometres northeast of the property and the Kemess
South mine located approximately 250 km to the north. The original Fran property
consisted of eight mineral claims covering approximately 4,000 hectares. Staking
to the east, south and west has expanded the property to 10,200 hectares to
cover areas with anomalous gold and copper mineralization and favorable geology.
