Habanero Resources Inc. ("Habanero" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:HAO) (PINKSHEETS:HBNRF) (FRANKFURT:HRJ) wishes to announce that it has completed the first phase of the 2012 exploration program on the Lezai Multi-Element Prospect. The Lezai Multi-Element Prospect is located approximately 100 km north of Chibougamau Quebec. During 2012, a total of 99 rock and 295 humus soil geochemical samples were collected in an effort to define the extent of zinc and copper anomalies identified during work done in 2011 (announced January 16, 2012). During the 2012 program, work crews discovered three (3) new mafic volcanic-hosted pyrite-chalcopyrite-pyrrhotite mineralized quartz vein zones. Samples have been sent in for assaying and it is anticipated results will be received within the next to 4-8 weeks. Jason Gigliotti, Presdent of Habanero stated, "We are pleased that the latest work program on the Lezai Prospect encountered three new vein zones. We are starting to gain a better knowledge and understanding of this multi-element prospect, and are using all the data in establishing the highest priority targets. We look forward to the pending results. When you add this to the fact we have now started our other Quebec project, the Grand-Vallee North Aluminous Clay Prospect, it is clear the second half of 2012 is shaping up to be a potentially exciting time for Habanero's corporate growth." Work on the Lezai Multi-Element Prospect and Grand-Vallee North Prospect is supervised by Kristopher J. Raffle, P.Geo. (BC) Senior Geologist for APEX Geoscience Ltd. of Edmonton, AB, who is the qualified person for the project as defined by National Instrument 43-101. Mr. Raffle has reviewed the portion of the technical content of this news release as it relates to the Grand-Vallee North Prospect and the Lezai Multi-Element Prospect. Habanero is a diversified junior company with the following prospects: the White Gold Prospect in the White Gold Region Yukon, bordering Kinross' Golden Saddle discovery; the Haldane Silver Prospect in the Keno Hill Silver Region of the Yukon bordering Alexco Resources Corp.'s Bellekeno property; the Lezai Multi-Element Prospect located approximately 100 km north of Chibougamau Quebec; and the Grande-Vallee North Aluminous Clay Prospect consisting of approximately 7,400 hectares (18,285 acres) near Murdochville Quebec, bordering Orbite Aluminae Inc.'s deposit. If you would like to be added to Habanero's email updates list, please send an email to info@habaneroresources.com requesting to be added.
