Grayd Resource Corporation (TSX VENTURE:GYD) announces assay results from the first eight reverse circulation holes drilled in 2008 on its wholly-owned La India Gold Project located in the state of Sonora, Mexico. The eight holes were drilled in the north part of the Cieneguita Zone. Highlights include RC08-278 with 24.4 m grading 6.09 g/t Au, RC08-283 with 9.1 m grading 5.39 g/t Au and RC08-281 with 3.0 m grading 9.56 g/t Au. Intersections in these holes are all in the same geological position and confirm a high grade area within the Cieneguita Zone that can be correlated from hole to hole. The Cieneguita Zone has been drilled over a 960 m by 250 m area. In the inferred resource announced January 16, 2008 (36.8 million tonnes at a grade of 0.79 g/t Au or 936,000 ounces at a 0.4 g/t Au cut off), 8.14 million tonnes grading 0.76 g/t Au (198,000 oz) of oxide material was calculated for this zone. Mineralization in the Cieneguita Zone is hosted by a massive silica horizon. Gold occurs primarily within fractures and breccias with grades typically in the range of 0.3 to 1.0 g/t Au. Higher grades in the 2008 holes occur at the base of the silica horizon and in silica-clay altered rock immediately below the silica. This confirms that there is a high grade portion of the Cieneguita Zone that is stratigraphically controlled, and can be correlated from hole to hole. When the resource was calculated there was insufficient drill density to allow correlation of the high grades, therefore the higher grade assays were modeled in conjunction with the lower grade areas, resulting in higher estimated tonnage, but at an overall lower grade. The new results also show that high grade assays (+ 10 g/t to 41.6 g/t Au g/t in recent holes and up to 128 g/t in 2007 holes) can be obtained in a number of locations in the north part of the zone, and thus the extent of capping of gold in the resource calculation needs to be reviewed. The high grade portion of the Cieneguita Zone dips shallowly along with the silica horizon and is 0 to 40 m below surface. Mineralization in the massive silica above the high grades is still potentially economic in portions of the zone. As mineralization starts at surface and is oxide, the Cieneguita Zone is amendable to open pit mining and heap leach extraction methods. The recent holes were drilled in a 200 m by 100 m portion of the zone. Additional drilling will be undertaken to increase intercept density in the rest of the zone to facilitate an updated resource calculation. A table of significant intercepts is given below. A map showing drill hole locations is attached and also available at www.grayd.com. Samples are sent to the ALS Chemex facility in Hermosillo, Mexico for sample preparation, and then to the ALS Chemex laboratory in Vancouver, British Columbia for gold assay and ICP. QA/QC procedures used include assay standards and blanks.
