Grenville Gold Corporation ("Grenville" or "the Company"), (TSX VENTURE:GVG)(PINK SHEETS:GVLGF)(FRANKFURT:F9I)(WKN:A0KELU) announces it has received an additional expression of interest ("EOI") on its Silveria project. "Grenville will carefully review any valid and cogent proposal that maximizes shareholder value", stated Melvin Rokosh, Grenville's CFO. On January 23, 2009, the company announced it had received an EOI on both properties. This new EOI combined with a previously announced EOI (November 24, 2008) received by Gold Hawk Resources (TSX VENTURE:CGK) for its Peruvian subsidiary, which owns a permitted poly-metallic silver-zinc-copper-gold mine located 4 km away from Grenville's Silveria Project, indicates the attention this area is receiving. In the past, Grenville's Silveria and Espanola projects were reviewed by several majors, (April 18, 2007, May 23, 2007). On July 31, 2007, the Aluminum Corporation of China ("Chinalco") announced the completion of its offer to acquire all the issued and outstanding common shares of Peru Copper for cash consideration of C$6.60 per share. Chinalco now owns the billion tonne Toromocho Copper Deposit which was Peru Copper's major asset. The company cautions shareholders that there is no assurance that a specific proposal will arise as a result of the expressions of interest. Negotiations resulting from an expression of interest may or may not result in any specific transaction and no timetable has been set for the completion of any potential transaction. Grenville has not published any 43-101 compliant reserve or resource calculation at this time.
