Gespeg Copper Resources Inc. (the "Company" or "GESPEG") (TSX VENTURE:GCR) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Bernard Olivier Martel as Vice-President Exploration and Mr. Sylvain Laberge as Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer. B.O. Martel graduated from the University of Quebec in Montreal, in 1999. He is a member of the Order of Quebec Geologists and acts as a Qualified Person under Canadian standard 43-101.His experience includes government services, engineering, and geological and mineral exploration. Prior to and following his graduation, he worked on various mapping projects for the Department of Natural Resources of Quebec. Subsequently, as a founding member of an engineering laboratory, he became an expert specializing in pyritic backfill, and mitigation of negative impacts on foundations. Since 2004, he has worked exclusively within the Quebec and Ontario mining community as a consulting geologist for various exploration companies. As the geologist for Threegold Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:THG) Mr. Martel was responsible for exploration on projects in the Gaspesie region and acquired the requisite knowledge and expertise essential to understanding mineral exploration in this region. After obtaining a degree at College Lasalle in Montreal, Mr. Sylvain Laberge entered the sales profession where he spent 11 years specialising in Hotels and Hospital supplies. Subsequently, in 1999 he joined Renmark Financial Communications, where he was named Vice-President, consulting and acting as an aid to emerging companies, among them primarily mining companies. Having an entrepreneurial spirit and a wealth of knowledge and expertise about the industry, Mr. Laberge founded S.D.N.L. Financial Communication in 2007, and since has acted as President. Mr. Laberge first joined Gespeg Copper as a consultant in early 2012. Mr Victor Goncalves President and CEO stated: Gespeg Copper and I are pleased with these new additions.
