Firebird Resources (FIX-V) Welcomes David Doherty and Nick Watters as Strategic Advisors to the Company

Firebird Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:FIX) ("Firebird") (the "Company") is
pleased to announce it has made two significant appointments and has established
an Advisory Board to assist the Company in positioning itself as a dominant
player in the South Carolina, Haile-Brewer Gold Trend.


Mr. Doherty brings over 14 years of investment and finance experience to the
Corporation. Mr. Doherty is Founder and President of Inform Capital Corp.,
offering merchant banking and Corporate Advisory services to a number of
companies across many sectors. Prior to founding Inform capital, he was an
investment advisor with Canaccord Capital for 10 years, Canada's largest
independent securities dealer covering the North American capital markets
specializing in developing, restructuring, and financing Venture and Natural
Resource companies. Mr. Doherty holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Simon
Fraser University, with a major in finance. Mr. Doherty is currently VP of
Corporate Development for CuOro Resources Corp. (CUA-TSXV), a Director of Doca
Capital Corp., and was a founding member of Dagilev Capital (now Astur Gold
(AST-TSXV)). 


Mr. Watters is a co-founder of Canaco Resources Inc. (CAN-TSXV) and was
appointed to Director Business Development of Canaco in December 2010. He was an
intricate part of the Canaco's growth, particularly in the raising of close to
$50 million since inception. He is an independent businessman and has worked
within the financial community since 1995. Beginning his career in the corporate
communications field, he has worked with several public and private companies in
a wide variety of sectors. Mr. Watters has also served on the Boards of several
public companies.
