S&P Dow Jones Indices Announces Changes to the S&P/TSX Canadian Indices

A Deletion from the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index

TORONTO, Aug. 30, 2013 /CNW/ - S&P Dow Jones Canadian Index Services will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Canadian Indices:

The shareholders of Esperanza Resources Corp. (TSXVN:EPZ) have agreed to the terms of a Plan of Arrangement with Alamos Gold Inc. (TSX:AGI). Esperanza shareholders will receive $CDN0.85 cash and 0.0625 Alamos warrants for each share held. Esperanza Resources will be removed from the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Friday, August 30, 2013.
