Emerald Bay Applies for Warrant Extension

CALGARY, Oct. 10, 2013 /CNW/ - Emerald Bay Energy Inc.  (TSX Venture: EBY) (the "Company" or "Emerald Bay") announces that it has made an application to the TSX Venture Exchange (the "Exchange") to extend the term of all share purchase warrants (the "Warrants") that were originally issued on October 25, 2012 from twelve (12) months to eighteen (18) months from the date of issuance in accordance with Exchange policies.  The Warrants that are the subject of the extension application consist of an aggregate of 29,680,000 Warrants, each with an exercise price of $0.10 per Warrant, which were issued in connection with the Company's private placement that closed on October 25, 2012.  The foregoing Warrants are set to expire on October 25, 2013 and the application being submitted to the Exchange is to extend the expiry date until April 25, 2014.

Completion of the warrant extension is subject to the final approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.
