RIM Completes Acquisition of Chalk Media Corp.

  Chalk Media Corp. ("Chalk") (TSX VENTURE: CKM) today announced that the previously announced acquisition of Chalk by Research In Motion Limited by way of a statutory plan of arrangement (the "Arrangement") has been completed.

The Arrangement was approved by Chalk securityholders at a meeting held on January 27, 2009 where holders voted in favor of the Arrangement. The Arrangement was approved by the Supreme Court of British Columbia on January 28, 2009.

As a result of the Arrangement, Chalk, a member of the BlackBerry® ISV Alliance Program since 2007, becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of RIM. Chalk will apply to delist its shares from trading on the TSX Venture Exchange and will apply to Canadian securities regulators to cease to be a reporting issuer.
