Blue River Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:BXR) announces it has completed its 2011 diamond drilling and surface exploration program on its 100% owned Castle Copper Project, located 12 km north of the town of Princeton, B.C. and 25 km north of Copper Mountain Mining Corp.'s producing open pit Copper Mountain mine. The 2011 diamond drilling program consisted of 1,350 meters (4,428 feet) of NQ core drilling from 12 drillholes and was designed to test the depth extension of a 500 m by 150 m zone of anomalous surface copper mineralization and copper-in-soil geochemical anomalies previously identified by the Company. This surface zone of anomalous copper mineralization identified by the Company consists of malachite, chalcopyrite, pyrite, magnetite, bornite and chalcocite minerals within a heavily fractured basalt host rock. In addition to the 2011 diamond drilling sampling program, Blue River sampled historic core drilled on the Property by previous workers and never publically reported. This sampling program included re-logging of the core and sampling of the entirety of the available core (including sections previously un-assayed). Further, the Company conducted a surface sampling program within the area of diamond drilling in conjunction with a property- wide prospecting and mapping program designed to identify lithologies and structures permissive to hosting copper mineralization. All drillcore from the Castle 2011 drilling program is being analyzed at AGAT Laboratories of Burnaby, B.C., an ISO certified lab, utilizing a 48-element analytical package by 4 acid digestion, ICPOES/ICPMS finish with Fire Assay gold finish on all samples reporting anomalous copper. All core samples were split on-site at the Castle Project and shipped directly to AGAT Laboratories facility in Burnaby, B.C. A comprehensive system of standards, blanks and field duplicates was implemented in the 2011 exploration program and is analyzed as chemical assay data becomes available. Final analytical results from the 2011 Castle exploration program will be released when received. The Castle project totals approximately 6,500 hectares (16,000 acres) and Blue River holds a 100% interest therein. Paul D. Gray, P.Geo., company Director and a qualified person for the purpose of National Instrument 43-101, has reviewed and approved the contents of this news release. ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS Griffin Jones, President
