Bowood Announces Alberta Bakken Well Licenced at 15-25-3-23 W4

Bowood Energy Inc. ("Bowood" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:BWD) is pleased to
announce that its first joint well in the southern Alberta Bakken fairway was
licenced effective March 11th and is expected to start drilling prior to March
31st, 2011. The proposed horizontal well will be drilled from a surface location
in 3-1-4-23 W4 with the horizontal portion of the well expected to terminate in
15-25-3-23 W4.


The well is licenced to Legacy Oil + Gas Inc. who will be responsible for 80
percent of the drilling and completions costs of the well and as a result will
earn a 50 percent working interest in the well and 8 sections of Bowood lands.
Bowood will pay the remaining 20 percent of the well costs for a resulting 50
percent working interest.
