Beaumont Select Corporations Inc. ("Beaumont") (TSX VENTURE:BMN.A) reported today its financial results for the fiscal third quarter ended March 31, 2009. The third quarter marked a return to a positive financial direction for the Corporation, as all divisions showed improvement. Year to date, sales have increased 9.1% compared to first nine months of the previous fiscal year. - Operating margin has increased to 9.2% from 6.5% for the third quarter, and to 7.9% year to date compared to 4.2% last year. - Year to date the Corporation has paid down $4.613 million in long term debt, including $3.832 million in the third quarter. - The working capital ratio improved to 1.6:1 from 1.55:1 at the beginning of the fiscal year and 1.24:1 at the beginning of the third quarter - The Corporation recorded a gain of $3.359 million from the sale of its Calgary building. - Net income increased to $2.295 million for the third quarter (compared to a $4.562 loss in the third quarter 2007-8), reducing the loss year to date to $6.383 million compared to a loss last year for the first nine months of 2007-8 of $9.068 million.
