Annual and Special Meeting of Shareholders of Archean Star Resources Inc.

Archean Star Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:ASP) (the "Company") announces that it
will be holding its annual and special meeting of shareholders on Friday, August
30th, 2013. The meeting will be held at 4:00 p.m. Vancouver time (9:00 a.m.
Brisbane time) in order to allow shareholders based in Australia to attend the
meeting by video conference. 


At the meeting, shareholders will be asked to approve the appointment of the
following directors: Graeme O'Neill, John Pegg, Clay Conway and Bernie Sostak,
as well as the appointment of Charlton and Company, Chartered Accountants, as
auditors and to ratify and confirm the Company's stock option plan. In addition,
the shareholders will be asked to ratify and approve the Company's Advance
Notice Policy as announced on July 12, 2013. 


Pursuant to the Advance Notice Policy, the deadline by which holders of record
of common shares of the Company must submit director nominations to the
Corporate Secretary of the Company is July 30th, being 30 days prior to the date
of the meeting.


Archean Star Resources Inc., is a junior exploration company listed on the TSX
Venture Exchange that has, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Archean Star
Resources Australia Pty Ltd, earned 100% of Teck Australia Pty Ltd.'s ("Teck")
approximately 88% interest, subject to a 75% back in right in such interest to
Teck, in Chalice Gold Mines Limited's Gnaweeda Gold Project in Western
Australia. The Company is also earning an 80% interest in AMCOR's Monitor
Copper, Gold and Silver project in the Coeur D'Alene Mining District in Idaho.
