Acadian Energy Inc. Announces Delay in Filing of Annual Financial Statements

Acadian Energy Inc. (TSX VENTURE:ACX) -- (the "Corporation") announces that the
filing of its annual financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2011
and related Management Discussion and Analysis (the "Required Filings") will be
delayed. As a result of the failure to file the Required Filings on time, the
Corporation will be subject to a general cease trade order issued by Ontario
Securities Commission and the British Columbia Securities Commission in
accordance with National Policy 12-203.


The Corporation's Chief Financial Officer and its auditors are actively working
to resolve the difficulties. The Corporation expects to file its annual
financial statements and related Management Discussion and Analysis for the year
ended December 31, 2011 on or before May 15, 2012.


The Required Filings will not be filed before the filing deadline due to
administrative delays. The Corporation is not subject to any insolvency
proceeding. All material information concerning the affairs of the Corporation
has been disclosed to the public through news releases and filed on SEDAR.
