LONDON--Energy services company John Wood Group PLC (WG.LN) said Tuesday that it has been awarded a three-year contract to design heavy oil well pads for Suncor Energy's (SU.T) Firebag in-situ site in Alberta, Canada.
The company said its standard well pad design will help Suncor Energy to save 50% of well pad costs. No financial details of the contract were disclosed.
