TORONTO, Dec. 11, 2014 /CNW/ - Cymbria Corporation (TSX: CYB) ("Cymbria") announced today that with the assistance of an independent valuator, the Valuation Committee and Cymbria's Board of Directors, the value of Cymbria's investment in EdgePoint Wealth Management Inc. ("EdgePoint") has been increased from $35,646,025 to $62,439,718. It is expected this will result in an increase to Cymbria's A share NAV of approximately 4.5% or $1.15 per share.
After the revaluation, EdgePoint will represent approximately 10.1% of Cymbria's Portfolio.
Previously, Cymbria's Board of Directors and the Valuation Committee determined EdgePoint's value. As an enhancement to the valuation process, Cymbria now enlists an independent valuator.
