MONTREAL, Jan. 24, 2018 /CNW/ - CN (TSX: CNR) (NYSE: CNI) announced today that members of the Canadian National Railways Police Association (CNRPA) have ratified a new collective agreement with the company.

The six-year agreement, effective Jan. 1, 2018 through Dec. 31, 2023, covers CN Police officers across Canada.

Stephen Covey, chief of police and chief security officer at CN, said:  "We are very pleased to have reached this agreement. Our mutual dedication to reaching an agreement demonstrates our ability to work together in the best interests of CN and the CNRPA's membership."

Wayne Telcs, CNRPA national secretary, said: "The new agreement, its strong ratification and the process of negotiating it underscore the effectiveness of the dialogue our association has with the company. That being said, this would never have been possible without our members' ongoing support."
