Aurora Cannabis Inc. said Monday that it will invest in Netherlands-based Growery BV for an undisclosed sum.
The company said the investment is structured in a way that Aurora will invest an immaterial cash amount up front, as well as a portion dependent on Growery achieving certain milestones.
Additionally, Aurora will provide a secured loan to Growery to build a new facility as well as fund early operations and provide technical and operational support, the company said.
Growery is one of a few license holders that can participate in what the Dutch government calls its controlled cannabis supply-chain experiment, which is scheduled to be in effect for a minimum of four years, Aurora said.
