The following replaces the EMM Disclosure announcement released 27 January 2004
at 08:47 under RNS number 6625U.

The reason for the amendment is to amend the number and price of shares
purchased and sold as disclosed in the original announcement. The correct number
of shares purchased is 100,000 at 14.88p; not 850,000 shares purchased at
between 14.88 and 15.08p, as previously disclosed. The correct number of shares
sold is 750,000 at 15.11p; not 1,500,000 shares sold at between 15.00 and
15.13p, as previously disclosed.

All other details remain unchanged, and the full amended text appears below.
