Sterling Publishing announces that it was informed on 27 March 2003 that due to
the recent increase in the issued share capital of Sterling Publishing Group
PLC, the percentage interest of The Special Utilities Investment Trust PLC has
fallen from 29.08 per cent. to 28.83 per cent.  The number of shares held by The
Special Utilities Investment Trust PLC remains unchanged at 24,353,867 of the
issued share capital.
