Scotts(R) Brand The Official Lawn Fertilizer and Grass Seed of
Lowe's Motor Speedway
MARYSVILLE, Ohio, May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- In an effort to expand its marketing
presence in the motor sports area, The Scotts Company announced that its brand
will serve as "The Official Lawn Fertilizer and Grass Seed" of Lowe's Motor
Speedway for 2005.

partnered with us to create the greenest infield turf in all of motor sports,"
said H.A. "Humpy" Wheeler, president and general manager of Lowe's Motor
Speedway.

Sung adds, "Charlotte is not only home for major NASCAR(R) NEXTEL(R) Cup Events

products and want a beautiful lawn and garden. We are thrilled to team up with
Lowe's Motor Speedway to reach those consumers in many new ways at the track."
According to Geoff Smith, president of Roush Racing, the move for Scotts is a
natural fit. Carl Edwards will run Scotts branded paint schemes with the No. 99
Ford in all three major NASCAR(R) NEXTEL(R) Cup Series Events at Lowe's Motor
Speedway this year.
"The Scotts alliance with Lowe's Motor Speedway signals their ongoing effort to
integrate their motor sports marketing programs. It makes a lot of sense for
Scotts to extend their branding from the car to the grass at the track and make
a strong product connection with consumers," Smith said.
