Siemens Healthineers AG said Thursday that Varian Medical Systems Inc.'s stockholders approved its planned takeover.
The medical technology spinoff of the German conglomerate Siemens AG said in August that it plans to acquire the U.S.-based company for $16.4 billion.
Varian said in a statement that the deal is expected to close in the first half of next year.
