RNS Number:6167L Surface Transforms PLC 29 May 2003 RNS Release 29 May 2003 Surface Transforms plc Board Appointment Surface Transforms plc, makers of high technology, carbon ceramic material solutions for the high performance car and aerospace markets, has appointed Peter Holland as a non-executive director. Peter Holland, 57, a graduate chemist, has spent his career working in the chemical formulations industry. He is currently a consulting director with Acrol Holdings, a PVC chemicals company he co-founded in 1980 and sold in 1999 to PolyOne Corporation, a US chemical company. At sale, Acrol Holdings had a turnover of approximately #15 million and 85 employees. Before founding Acrol, Peter was a Director of Longfield Chemicals Ltd for two years, during which time he was responsible for setting up the PVC compounding manufacturing arm of the business. He has also worked for Ciba Geigy and Foscolor, a division of multinational company Foseco-Minsep. Peter is also currently a director of Bladeace Limited. There is no further information to disclose in respect of Peter Holland under paragraph (f) of schedule 2 to the AIM Rules. On 27 March, Surface Transforms announced that Kevin D'Silva, the Group Managing Director of Ferraris Group Plc, had also joined its board as non-executive director. Julio Faria, Managing Director of Surface Transforms, said: "Peter Holland is a tremendous addition to our board. He is a technology-based entrepreneur with very relevant commercial contacts and has proven expertise in managing a successful chemical formulations business. His input will be vital as Surface Transforms expands from its base as a chemical technology enterprise to a commercial business providing carbon ceramic solutions to automotive and aerospace clients.
