RMC Group p.l.c. - disposal of shares in Adelaide Brighton
RMC Group p.l.c. ("RMC") announces that it has today sold 108.4m shares in
Adelaide Brighton Limited ("ABL"), representing 20.0% of the issued share
capital of ABL for a cash consideration of A$1.40 per ABL share. RMC will
receive total cash proceeds of approximately A$152m (#64m). RMC intends to use
the proceeds to pay down debt. This sale follows the earlier disposal of ABL
shares by RMC, announced on 15 December 2003.
Following this disposal, RMC now holds approximately 80.9m shares in ABL,
representing 14.9% of the issued share capital of ABL.
