Progressive Geared Income Trust PLC

The Board of Progressive Geared Income Trust plc announces that it recommends a
final dividend of 0.75p per ordinary share in respect of the year ended 30 June
2002.  The dividend will have an ex-dividend date of 7 August 2002 and will be
payable to shareholders on the register on 9 August 2002, subject to approval at
the Annual General Meeting of the Company.  It will be paid shortly after the
Annual General Meeting, currently expected to be held in October or November
2002, on a date to be confirmed.
