Piper Jaffray Hires William Lu as Senior Research Analyst 


MENLO PARK, Calif., June 3  /PRNewswire/ -- Piper Jaffray & Co. is pleased to
announce William (Bill) Lu has joined the firm as a senior research analyst
covering semiconductor capital equipment companies. He will be based out of the
firm's Menlo Park, Calif., office.

to the firm a deep understanding of the semiconductor capital equipment space
and tremendous experience as a research analyst."

Lu joins Piper Jaffray after having spent five years at Morgan Stanley in San
Francisco, most recently as a senior research analyst covering the
semiconductor capital equipment space.  In addition, he worked at Applied
Materials in Santa Clara, Calif., as an engineer. Lu is fluent in Mandarin
Chinese and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a
bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.  In addition, he holds a master's
degree in mechanical engineering from Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif.,
and a master's of business administration from the University of California,
Los Angeles in Westwood, Calif.
