          NEW STAR ENHANCED INCOME TRUST PLC and NSEIT ZEROS 2008 PLC          

                          (together the "Companies")                           

                         MEMBERS VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION                         

The board of directors of both of the Companies announce that the Companies'
shareholders have today passed the resolutions at the extraordinary general
meetings of both Companies and a class meeting of NSEIT Zeros 2008 PLC placing
the Companies into Members Voluntary Liquidation.

A copy of the resolutions has been submitted to the UK Listing Authority, and
will shortly be available for inspection at the UK Listing Authority's Document
Viewing Facility, which is situated at:
