           Issue of 1,125,000 new Ordinary Shares to settle deferred
                     non-executive Directors' remuneration


Newsplayer Group PLC (the "Company") today announces that it has issued
1,125,000 new ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company ("new Ordinary Shares")
at a value of 5p each for nil consideration in lieu of directors' fees due 
under deferral agreements made in March 2003. 1,000,000 shares were issued to 
David Holdgate, Chairman, and 125,000 to Hugo Drayton, who resigned as a 
non-executive Director on 31 July 2003. David Holdgate has agreed not to dispose
of any of these shares for at least 12 months from the date of allotment.

David Holdgate now has an interest in 1,635,714 (1.35%) ordinary shares of the
Company.

Application will be made for the new Ordinary Shares issued to be admitted to
trading on AIM and dealings in the new Ordinary Shares are expected to commence
on 9 October 2003.
