Substantial shareholdings


Further to the announcement made regarding substantial shareholdings on 2
October 2003, the Company has received the following information regarding
certain of those shareholdings:

Within the 6,250,000 5p ordinary shares ("Ordinary Shares") that were placed
with Hargreave Hale Stockbrokers Limited in the placing that was announced on 9
September 2003 (the "Placing"), 3,400,000 of these Ordinary Shares are held in
the Marlborough Special Situations Fund.  This represents approximately 4.83 per
cent. of the issued share capital of the Company.

Within the 3,750,000 Ordinary Shares that were placed with Gartmore Investment
Limited in the Placing, 1,643,076 of these Ordinary Shares are held in the
Gartmore Ltd Issue UK Small Cap Fund and 1,556,924 of these Ordinary Shares are
held in the Alphagen Volantis Fd Prime Brokerage.  These shareholdings represent
approximately 2.33 per cent. and 2.21 per cent. respectively of the issued share
capital of the Company.
