The OFT has announced that it is consulting on proposed undertakings following
the completed acquisition by Ivax International GmbH of 3M Company's
distribution business for certain asthma products. This follows the OFT's
announcement on 20 October that the merger would be referred to the Competition
Commission unless suitable undertakings in lieu of reference were given by Ivax.
The draft undertakings can be viewed on the Office of Fair Trading's website at
www.oft.gov.uk with links from the Office's Weekly Gazette and Competition
Bulletin.
