Euro50m First Close for Inflexion Private Equity Fund 2

                           Inflexion plc commits Euro10m

Inflexion, the mid market private equity investor, announced the first close of
its second fund, Inflexion Private Equity Fund 2, which will invest in buy-outs
at the smaller end of the UK mid market. Inflexion plc has made a commitment of
Euro10m to the fund.

In addition to Inflexion plc, the fund has received commitments from a number of
leading UK and European institutions, including Martin Currie, Nordea Pension
and London Merchant Securities. Furthermore, the management team, whose
experience includes 35 lead deals and 21 exits in the sector, is committing a
significant capital sum.

The successful first closing of the fund has been achieved despite the difficult
fund-raising conditions facing the private equity market in general. This
success creates the platform to achieve a larger final close in due course. A
combination of Inflexion's focus and expertise in the increasingly neglected,
smaller UK mid market arena, and the material management commitment to the fund
was significant in attracting support from investors.

John Hartz, Managing Partner of Inflexion commented:

"This is private equity the traditional way, with the Inflexion team
participating side by side with our investors. We will be focusing our
investments on quality businesses where our capital, energy and management
strength can help create significant returns for our investors."

Inflexion currently has strong deal-flow, generated in part by its innovative
research programme concentrated on the smaller UK mid market.

Simon Turner, Managing Partner of Inflexion, explained:

"Many of the industry's best known groups initially made their names at the
smaller end of the mid market before moving dramatically up-scale. As a result
there is significant potential for Inflexion to invest in this often over-looked
market, which offers increasingly attractive investments at sensible valuations.
"
