For Fifth Consecutive Year Lowe's Recognizes Horizon Lines as Outstanding Ocean Service Provider of the Year

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Jan. 25  /PRNewswire/ -- For the fifth straight year, The Lowe's Companies Inc. Home Improvement Transportation division has awarded Horizon Lines with the honor of Outstanding Ocean Service Provider for 2005. Horizon Lines was the only ocean carrier so honored.

The award was presented by Steve Palmer, VP of Transportation, at the home improvement retailer's annual Carrier Partnership and Awards Luncheon in Wilkesboro, N.C. Kevin Gill, Horizon Lines' Vice President of Marketing, Lymarie Gandarillas, Account Manager, and Kathy Reeves, Business Development Sales Representative, accepted the honor for Horizon Lines.
