CHC awarded contract renewals in Europe 


ST. JOHN'S, NL, Aug. 19  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CHC Helicopter Corporation
("CHC") (TSX: FLY.A and FLY.B; NYSE: FLI) announced today that it has been
awarded two contract renewals in the North Sea with a combined value of
approximately CDN $14.5 million per annum. Contract renewals are as follows:

  1.  PGS Production AS has awarded CHC a two-year contract renewal, plus
  two one-year options, for the provision of offshore crew change
  helicopter services utilizing CHC's fleet of Super Puma aircraft based in
  Stavanger, Norway.

  2. Kerr-McGee has awarded CHC a one-year contract renewal, plus two
  one-year options, for the provision of one dedicated Super Puma Mk2
  aircraft based in Aberdeen, Scotland.
