Expomedia Group PLC (the "Company" or the "Group") - Placing of new ordinary
shares to raise gross proceeds of approximately #2.4 million the "Placing")

The Board is pleased to announce that Charles Stanley & Co. Limited has placed
1,960,000 new ordinary shares of 5 pence each at a price of 122 pence per
ordinary share with institutional investors to raise approximately #2.4 million
before fees and expenses.  The Placing is conditional upon the new ordinary
shares being admitted to trading on AIM.  The new ordinary shares represent 5
per cent. of the existing issued share capital of the Company.

The proceeds of the placing will be used to augment the Company's existing
working capital facilities and to fund the Group's ongoing expansion of its
exhibition operations.

The new ordinary shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares
of the Company.  Application will be made for the new ordinary shares to be
admitted to trading on the Alternative Investment Market and dealings are
expected to commence on 2 October 2003.
