EUROPEAN MOTOR HOLDINGS plc (the "Company")

DIRECTORS' SHARE TRANSACTIONS

The Company announces that following the exercise of share options under the
Company's 1990 Share Option Scheme, a total of 150,000 ordinary shares of 40
pence in the Company were today allotted to two directors of the Company.
100,000 ordinary shares were allotted to Richard Palmer at a price of 89.5 pence
per share and 50,000 shares were allotted to Ann Wilson at a price of 89.5 pence
per share.  Application will be made at the earliest practicable opportunity for
admission of the new ordinary shares to the Official List of the London Stock
Exchange.

The Company was also informed today of the following transactions in the
Company's ordinary shares of 40 pence by directors:

* Richard Palmer today sold 100,000 shares at a price of 170 pence each

* Ann Wilson today sold 50,000 shares at a price of 170 pence each.


As a result of the above transactions, those directors' shareholdings, based on
the Company's increased share capital following the exercise of the above
options are now:


* Richard Palmer 522,000 shares (0.98 % of the total issued share capital)

* Ann Wilson 385,356 shares (0.72 % of the total issued share capital).
