Domtar's 2004 annual report rakes in awards

MONTREAL, Aug. 29  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Domtar Inc. is pleased to announce that its 2004 Annual Report has been recognized by financial communications and design experts in four prestigious national and international competitions.

The report won a Bronze Vision Award in the Paper Products and Related category for quality reporting and creative design from the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP). LACP is a US-based organization that supports and recognizes excellence in the professional communications arena.

In addition, the 2004 annual report was ranked 17th worldwide in the Packaging, Visuals & Communication category by e.com, which specializes in report input, evaluation, analysis and benchmarking, in its ReportWatch Annual Report on Annual Reports 2005.

Meanwhile, Black Book, a New York image and illustration bank, gave it top 100 billing for reports published in 2005 in its AR100 Award Show, the largest, most prestigious competition of its kind. The report is slated to appear in the 2005 edition of the AR100 Award Show Book, a design industry reference for world-class corporate communications.

Finally, the Advertising & Design Club of Canada has earmarked Domtar's 2004 Annual Report for an award at its gala awards banquet that showcases brilliant creative work in report design.
