                       Connaught Plc : Additional Listing


The company announces that it has today applied for admission of 90,179 new
ordinary shares of 10p each in the capital of the company to trading on the
Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange plc.


The new ordinary shares were allotted pursuant to the exercise of share options,
66,000 of which were allotted under the Connaught Plc Executive Share Option
Scheme and 24,179 under the SAYE Sharesave Scheme.


It is expected that dealings in the new ordinary shares will commence at 08.00
on 24 October 2003.
