Bay National Bank Hires Richard C. Springer as Executive Vice President

BALTIMORE, Md., June 8  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Hugh W. Mohler, Chairman and CEO of Bay National Corporation (NASDAQ:BAYN), today announced that Richard C. Springer has joined the company as Executive Vice President. In this position, Mr. Springer will lead the commercial and private banking divisions of Bay National Bank.

Mr. Springer, a 25-year commercial banking executive, brings an accomplished track record in commercial lending and deposit acquisition, as well as expertise in commercial real estate lending. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President and Area Executive, Baltimore, for BB&T.

Mr. Springer holds a B.A. degree, with Phi Beta Kappa honors, from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees and Executive and Development Committees of the Maryland Science Center, the Board and Executive Committee of Leadership through Athletics and the Board and Membership Committee of the Center Club. He is also a Board Member of the Independent College Fund of Maryland.
