Arizona American Water Volunteers to Help West Valley Kids With 'Back to School' Shopping

Sun City employees partner with the Salvation Army to make sure children have clothes


PHOENIX, July 15  /PRNewswire/ -- Employees from Arizona American Water in Sun City will help the Salvation Army today as they provide more than 300 children in the northwest valley with new clothing before they head back to school next month.

"We have several facilities and offices here in the west valley, and it's important to me that we get out into the community to let them know we care," says Arizona American Water President Paul Townsley. "We are honored to play a small part as the Salvation Army helps hundreds of kids in Arizona pick out new clothing before they head back to school."

The volunteers will accompany low income family children as they shop for new clothing. They will ensure that each child gets new pants, tops, shoes, socks and underclothing. The Salvation Army, Arizona American Water employees, and other volunteers in the area will shop today at the Wal-Mart Supercenter Store at 13770 West Bell Road in Surprise and tomorrow at the Wal-Mart Store at 7975 West Peoria Avenue in Peoria.
