                       CHANGE IN DIRECTORS' SHAREHOLDINGS


Advanced Technology (UK) plc ("the Company") announces that it has today been
informed that:-

1. Mr Peter Garrard has exercised 258,400 warrants to subscribe for ordinary
shares of 5 pence each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 10 pence
per Ordinary Share granted to him pursuant to an issue of bonus warrants to all
shareholders on 17 December 2002;

2. Following exercise of his warrants Mr Garrard has disposed of 158,400 of the
resulting Ordinary Shares at a price of 14.5 pence per Ordinary Share to Mr Greg
Morgan, Chairman of the Company and 100,000 Ordinary Shares at the same price to
an unrelated party.

Mr Garrard is now beneficially interested in 1,191,200 Ordinary Shares,
representing 3.0% of the issued share capital of the Company.

As a result of the acquisition of 158,400 Ordinary Shares by Mr Morgan from Mr
Garrard, Mr Morgan has increased his beneficial holding in the Company to
923,765 Ordinary Shares, representing 2.01% of the issued share capital of the
Company.
