RNS Number:0318O Advanced Technology (UK) PLC 28 July 2003 Advanced Technology (UK) plc AGM Statement At the AGM of Advanced Technology (UK) plc Greg Morgan, Chairman, made the following comments on current trading "It is encouraging to report that the order intake for the One-Way business remains positive, reflecting the growth of the US Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) market. The material shortage position reported in the 2002 Annual Accounts has improved, but output was temporarily restricted by the implementation of processes to enhance the new products, but is now recovering. "The Two-Way Project in Ghana remains delayed, at least in part, by the changes to the private sector participation program. The Ghana Water Company has stated that the system will provide great benefits and continues to plan the adoption of the project. The Board are unable to give shareholders a definitive contract completion date but were encouraged by the recent press coverage of the project in the Ghanaian media. "Shareholders will be aware that the new electricity product was launched in the spring of 2003.
